  • Guide a client/family member to identify the excess sugar in their diet and make low glycemic substitutions
  • Use an online app likeĀ  Cronometer to do a 3-day diet recall on your client/family member and determine which nutrients are out of balance
  • Offer support and guidance to assist your client/family member in putting your suggestions into action
  • Suggest foods that are abundant in the nutrients that you suspect to be deficient, and support your client/family member to incorporate these, using recipe resources from module 5
  • Follow-up after a week or so
  • If your client/family member has been successful, offer them additional diet improvements and support them in putting them into action
  • Follow-up by having your client/family member complete the assessment again, to determine their next steps
