Labs:

If you are a licensed practitioner, you can set up an account with any of the following labs to run adrenal salivary panels. There are sample reports on the pages I’ve linked to. I generally use Diagnostecs, so most of the case studies will be from Diagnostechs. My preference is to use a panel that includes 4 cortisols (or 6 for people with sleep problems), 2 DHEAs, usually averaged, Secretory IgA, and progesterone.
  • DiagnosTechs: Order the Adrenal Stress Index or the Flexi Matrix panel with 4 cortisols plus DHEA, Secretory IgA, and Progesterone.
  • BioHealth: Order the Functional Adrenal Stress Profile #205; only includes cortisol and DHEA.
  • Metametrix/Genova: Order the Adrenal Stress Profile (only cortisol and DHEA) or preferably the Adrenal Stress Profile Plus, which also includes Secretory IgA.
  • Precision Analytical: Order the Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones (DUTCH) test.
If you are not licensed, you can order tests through the following:
  • Dr Ritamarie’s Website: (must login to VLM before clicking) This is a special page on the protected Vibrant Living Members website for program participants to order a selection of lab tests. This is for your personal use only. Please do not send your clients here. Instead send them to one of the sites below. We are not set up to handle a large number of test orders.
  • Direct Labs: Allows direct ordering by anyone in the US. Click on order test, then choose the letter A and scroll down to “Adrenal” to see the available tests.
  • Canary Club uses a lab called ZRT: Order the Adrenal panel or the comprehensive hormone panel. The prices are lower, but they include just the basics on the adrenal test.

Additional Materials:

Here are the actual lab reports for some of the case studies you will see presented on the subsequent core content pages. A useful exercise would be to review a few of the cases in advance and get a feel for interpreting them on your own before watching the remaining videos.
