Clinical Assessment Tools (CAT):
Case Studies – BONUS Call – Day 2
June 15th, 2013
Instructions
There are 6 cases. For each we have provided a case summary and at least 1 lab report, in some cases more. To get the most out of this resource, read the following guidelines before proceeding. Be sure to review the case before watching the video or listening to the audio.
Read through each case, highlighting and making notes about anything that needs further clarification, things that appear to be significant to understanding the case, and any additional information you sense is needed. For each case answer the following as you review the documents:
- Which body system or systems appear the most stressed?
- What are the top 3-5 obstacles (diet, habits, trauma, family history – all the things we reviewed as obstacles in Module 1)
- 5 most important additional questions you would ask the client
- Additional labs, if any that appear to be needed
- 3 actions you would suggest to this person without any further information
- Any other observations, questions, recommendations
Watch or listen to the recording after you’ve carefully reviewed the case to learn more.

Combined Cases Audio Recording
Click on the audio player to listen to an audio-only recording of the entire day of case studies. You can follow along using the case documents provided. I highly recommend that you review the case documents before listening to each section. The recording is long may take a few moments to begin. The player will allow you to stop, start and rewind as you wish if you need to play a section back or get interrupted. Screen share videos will be available for several of the cases, along with separate audios for each case.
