Action Steps
Basic Principles
- Eat a fiber-rich, nutrient-dense, organic, whole foods diet that includes plenty of leafy greens.
- Add cruciferous vegetables to your diet.
- Get a good balance of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids; the ideal ratio is 3 parts or less omega-6 to 1 part or more omega-3 (minimum 3:1).
- Practice “mini-vacations” 5 times a day.
- Reduce toxic exposures in your environment.
- Optimize your digestion and repair your gut.
- Balance your blood sugar.
- Add a minimum of 1/2 to 1 ounce of sea veggies to your diet each week.
- Optimize your nutrient intake, especially zinc, magnesium, B vitamins, and vitamin D.
- Avoid hormone-disrupting foods: charred meats, flour, sugar, gluten, excess alcohol, and hydrogenated fats.
- Get at least 7 – 8 hours, preferably 8 – 10 hours of sleep each night.
- Exercise regularly – move throughout your day.
- Optimize your adrenal health.
- Optimize your thyroid health.

Nutritional Approaches to Common Reproductive Hormone Problems
Manage your food allergies and avoid top allergenic foods.
Manage your own food allergies and avoid the top 6 allergens: gluten, dairy, corn, eggs, peanuts, and soy (with the possible exception of fermented soy if you’ve tested and proven you are not sensitive).
The allergens that hurt hormone balance the most are gluten and casein (dairy). Go through the elimination Diet Protocols.
Re-Assess Your Reproductive Hormone health.
Redo your Reproductive Hormone Assessment form after you’ve completed about 2-3 months on the suggested protocols. Continue as indicated. Note any changes from your previous assessment.
These assessment includes a variety of signs and symptoms that will help you generate a score to determine if your reproductive hormones are in or out of balance.
