As you work through the materials, your goals by the end will be to:
- Understand how and when it is appropriate to assess clients’ digestive status using lab evaluations.
- Understand how to look for digestive markers on a routine blood chemistry test
- Understand, be able to explain, and interpret the following lab tests:
- Diagnostechs: Comprehensive stool test with parasitology
- OAT – Organic Acids Test from Great Plains Labs – markers for gut pathogens, candida, etc.
- Biohealth: GI Pathogen screen, with or without H-Pylori
- Metametrix/Genova: CDSA, GI Effects (including sensitivity tests, Intestinal Permeability
- Hydrogen/Methane Breath Test for SIBO, candida
- Enterolab: Gluten Test – Stool Antibodies
- Cyrex Labs: Blood tests for intestinal permeability, gluten cross reactivity, gluten antibodies complete
- Doctor’s Data Comprehenive digestive analysis with parasites and sensitivities
- Track client lab markers, progress, and update client protocols using the Master Health Tracker spreadsheet
