1 | Review the major hormones and find someone to whom you can practice explaining. The more you teach, the easier it gets to remember. | |
2 | Explore the Advanced Topics and check out the hypothalamus flashcards if you need help with remembering things. | |
3 | Incorporate the hormone harmonizing diet and lifestyle factors into your own life and teach them to your clients and/or family members. |
These action steps are optional to reinforce your learning. Completing these steps is beneficial in putting your newfound knowledge to use, but not required to complete the module.
Action Steps:
- Find a client or family member and offer to coach them on improving their eating habits
- Ask your client /family member what their favorite foods are and what foods they eat most frequently
- Determine which of these foods/meals are not supporting their health
- Using the core content recipe guides, help your client /family member to make their favorite meals in healthier ways
- Choose the top 3 foods you believe are sabotaging the health of your client /family member and show them how to replace these unhealthful foods they eat frequently with ones that will better support their health
- Offer support and guidance to assist your client/family member in putting your suggestions into action
- Follow-up after a week or so and support them to continue to make healthier choices in foods
